If you are enrolled in a course that uses a special courseware such as NSC Canvas LMS you can find tutorials, troubleshooting and helpful information by following this link. North Seattle e-Learning provides in house tech support for Canvas during our normal business hours, Monday through Friday 8:30AM to 5:00 PM. Phone calls and emails after these times will be answered the next business day.
For any courseware used there may be technical issues that could impact your ability to login and use the software correctly. At the present time most of the North Seattle online learning technology is web based. This means that to access your virtual classroom you will need to use the information provided on the Registered Students page. You are provided a URL address and login information to enter your courseware. It is important to note that if you are on a network with strong security you may not be able to access your courseware and you will need to use a computer not associated with a network or you may have to adjust your personal firewall settings or virus protection to allow you access.
Canvas LMS supports the following browsers: Firefox, , Chrome and Internet Explorer. If you experience and problems using Canvas in a specific browser, changing to a different browser may help as well as clearing the Browsing History (see below). If you still continue to have problems please contact tech support.
Clear the Browsing History: Tools/ Internet Options/ General "Clear Browsing History" (please be aware that this action will delete any saved passwords)
If you experiencing issues viewing your Canvas course materials and/or videos please click "What Browsers does Canvas Support" There have been recent Browser updates and some users have found that Canvas does not work as expected. (04/21/2014)
