It is important to note that if you are registered for online
e-Learning courses that uses this courseware system you will need to
go to the URL indicated in your
Registered Student grid
to correctly login to your classroom as your instructor may have a
different portal to access their specific class. If your
instructor has indicated all course materials are accessed via your

The protocol for logging into your
Canvas LMS class account:
UserID =
your full 9 digit Student ID number.
Password =
first 6 (six) letters of your last name. (all lower case no
special characters)
The Password is CASE SENSITIVE, use all lower case.
(If your last name
is less than 6 (six) letters you may need to
repeat your last name until you reach six letters. For
example, John Doe's default password would be "doedoe".
In another example, Jane Smith's default password would be
"smiths".)

Canvas offers a
student orientation tutorial to familiarize students new online
learning using the Canvas LMS.
Please Note: It is very important when you log into your Canvas account for the first time that you update your email address so that automated tech support will be able to reach you.
Connecting to your course:
When you successfully login to Canvas using the above information
you will see an Recent Activities page. To enter your actual
course you need to click on the Course tab
in the top left navigation bar. This will list all of your
courses as well as a Student Orientation class. Please select
your Course - this will give you access to all of your course
materials, assignments, discussions and calendar.
