NSCC ANGEL Learning Management System Support

Why using the correct browser is important when using ANGEL

Some students have experienced technical issues if they are not using the recommended browsers.  It may appear to work or it may work sporadically so for best results use the one of the recommended browsers.

  • Mozilla Firefox: At this time users have experienced problems with the older versions of
Firefox 3 to 6.  For ANGEL to work correctly please upgrade to Version 7 or higher. For classes using an online component, we suggest that you download the free version  Mozilla's Firefox.
  • Internet Explorer: You can download the free version of Internet Explorer version 8 or 9.
  • Please note: Internet Explorer 8 may have a compatibility issue with the current version of ANGEL LMS courseware,  clicking the "Compatibility Icon" toggle switch located to the right of the URL address bar may correct the problem.
  • Please note: Internet Explorer 9 is only available for Vista or Windows 7.  It has been found that there may be some compatibility issues with our ANGEL courseware so please click the "Compatibility Icon" to the right of the URL Address button.
  • With the recent patch to ANGEL some users have experienced problems using IE 8 or 9.  At the present time if you have a problem logging into your  ANGEL account using Internet Explorer please Clear the Browsing History: Tools/ Internet Options/ General "Clear Browsing History" (please be aware that this action will delete any saved passwords)

  • For students using MAC's there has been a recent upgrade to ANGEL which includes support for Safari and Chrome browsers. If you use these browsers and experience any problems please try Firefox or Internet Explorer or contact tech support.

If you have loaded a special software tool bar such as the Google or Yahoo toolbar this may interfere with your courseware and cause it to not work properly please go to our tech support on Popups and Tool Bars for more information.

Another issue that can be problematic is your browser history or cache.  This system will retain a copy of your history and can interfere with updates you have done.  The history can save incorrect password information so try clearing your history or cache if you are having problems, this may correct errors.
