Campus Meeting Times and Location: Please check Class Meeting Schedule page for any orientations or additional meetings during the quarter.
Please note: Meetings are subject to change so please check the Orientation schedule page right before quarter begins. Virtual classrooms do not open until the first week of the quarter.

How to Start Class:  Email your instructor to introduce yourself, attend any orientation meetings listed in the Class Meeting Schedule, and use the information below to gain access to any courseware that is used in your class.

Please Note: e-Learning courses require active participation and students need to log into their classes or communicate with their instructor by email no later than the second day of the quarter  to avoid getting behind or being dropped from the course.

Students should not assume that they have been dropped if they have not accessed their class during the first week of the quarter; instead, students should officially withdraw.

Textbook: For specific textbook information and cost(s), visit our Campus Bookstore online at http://northscc.bncollege.com

The Password is CASE SENSITIVE, use all lower case.

(If your last name is less than 6 (six) letters use your full name and repeat characters starting over again until you have 6 (six) characters.
You may need to repeat your last name until you reach six letters.  For example, John Doe's default password would be "doedoe". In another example, Jane Smith's default password would be "smiths".)

Find out more information about using and setting up your computer for Canvas Learning:

  • It is important when you log into your Canvas account for the first time that you update your email address. Once logged in go to "Settings.” (top right navigation bar) Once in settings you will see email information on the right. You can change or add additional email addresses. Canvas gives students several contact notification options – “Facebook, Twitter, phone text messages etc.”. Keeping this information current will insure that auto tech support will be able to reach you.

  • Student accounts will  be available the Friday before the quarter begins. Registering after the first day of the quarter your account may take 4 hours or more to be activated.

  • Your Canvas class will be disabled the Thursday after the end of the quarter.
At that time you will be able to login to your account but you will lose access to any information that is contained in your course.  If there is any information you wish to retain you will need to download or copy this information before the end of the quarter.  For more information please contact your instructor to confirm the date that your class will be disabled.

Technical support is available through North's NeLSC. Office hours are Monday - Friday 8:30AM - 5PM. voice mail or email messages sent after office hours will be answered the next business day.  For in person support please visit us in LB 2237 (one door south of the main Library entrance).
