Distance Learning>Courses and Class Schedules> Coordinated Studies, World of Work COORDINATED STUDIES : From African to Wall Street: The World of Work ![]() Short Description: A 10- to 12-credit fully online coordinated studies course, students will study the cultural, social and economic aspects of work. Using an online venue, students will have an opportunity to explore and understand both common and diverse elements when people work in different venues such as a native village in Africa or a modern corporation in the United States. Students will entertain questions about diversity of production methods, colonization, exploitation, international trade, developing nations, technology's impact, income distribution, organizational behavior, ethical issues, and the future world of work. The course will feature multimedia learning tools such as streaming lectures, podcasts, interviews, digital photography, and discussion webs. Fulfills some of the following AA Degree requirements, depending on which courses you register for: Communication, Global Studies, Individuals, Cultures and Societies, Quantitative Reasoning, and Integrated Studies. No campus visits are required. This
