Using Email to Contact Your Instructor:

If you use a Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo or other web based email account for your official school correspondence you may need to put the Seattle Community College (sccd) domain into your "safe list". This will help insure that any emails from your instructor or the college will not be filtered into your emails spam folder.  It is also important to periodically check your Span folder especially if you are expecting an answer from your instructor or a reply from our e-Learning office.

As an online student your instructor or the college may need to send you information via your email address. It is important that the college have your current email address. To update your email address you will need to go to the North Seattle College web site at http://www.northseattle.edu click on Online Services then choose Update Your Address. North Seattle e-Learning courses require active participation and students need to log into their classes during the first week of the quarter to avoid getting behind.  Please contact your instructor or our e-Learning office if you experience difficulty in logging in.

Please Note: For Students registering after the beginning of the quarter due to the various types of software associated with online instruction and their registration requirements, you must require a time allowance of 2 days before gaining access to your Virtual Classroom.  This means that when you register after the first day, you must consider that it may be another 2 full business days before you have access to the classroom.
