Some students have experienced technical issues if they are not using the recommended browsers. Some features of ANGEL are not available or do not work correctly when using other than the two recommended browser which are Firefox or Microsoft Internet Explorer. It may appear to work or it may work sporadically so for best results use the one of the recommended browsers.
For classes using ANGEL LMS, it is recommended that users install
the most recent versions of the browsers. This is a free upgrade
which can be downloaded from the
Mozilla website for Firefox and the
Microsoft website for IE 8 . (Please note: there may be a
compatibility issue with IE8 and not the older IE7 version. If
you do have IE8 installed it will work by clicking on the
"Compatibility Icon" located to the right of the Address bar) More
information about the "Compatibility
Icon" can be found on the Microsoft web site. Turning on
the Compatibility icon will make the browser backward compatible.
For students using MAC's at this time the Safari and Google Chrome
browsers are not supported so it is recommended that users download
the free version of the browsers that are compatible with ANGEL:
Firefox or IE.
If you have loaded a special software tool bar such as the Google or Yahoo toolbar this may interfere with your courseware and cause it to not work properly please go to our tech support on Popups and Tool Bars for more information.
Another issue that can be problematic is your browser history or cache. This system will retain a copy of your history and can interfere with updates you have done. The history can save incorrect password information so try clearing your history or cache if you are have problems and this may correct errors.
