BLACKBOARD
Most of the courses managed by Washington Online (WAOL) use Blackboard as the courseware.  You need to send your instructor an introductory email before starting class.

You will need to go to http://www.waol.org/ and click on "Blackboard" in the top navigation bar. Please note the "Login" link on the left side of the page.

NEW STUDENTS - To Login:
UserID = waol + your 9-digit student ID number (i.e. waol111222333)
Password = first 5 letters of your last name
Password example: Johnson=johns, Lee=lee, O'Reilly=oreil

RETURNING STUDENTS - To Login:
UserID = waol + your student ID number  (i.e. waol111222333)
Password = password from previous quarter

If you are unfamiliar with using Blackboard there is a FAQ page you can access and Washington Online also has a Blackboard tutorial to get you started.

The Distance Learning office staff are also available to assist you with technical problems and can be contacted by the email below or during the week at 206 527-3738.

Please note: for Students registering after the beginning of the quarter due to the various types of software associated with online instruction and their registration requirements, you must require a time allowance of 2 days before gaining access to your Virtual Classroom.  This means that when you register after the first day, you must consider that it may be another 2 full business days before you have access to the classroom.
