SOC& 101: Introduction to Sociology
Short Description:
This Hybrid course covers basic problems and concepts in human social
interaction with emphasis on group aspects of human behavior.
Covers culture, socialization, family, education, urbanization, sex
roles, social class, deviance, race, sexuality, demography, and social
change.
These are hybrid classes that meet three (3) hours per week on campus;
the other two (2) hours will include online and out-of-class
assignments. First time college students welcome. Note: SOC& 101
transfers directly as your FIRST course in Sociology at the U.W.
