DRA 285: Playwriting II

Short Description: Continues the focus on the development of writing skills for the playwright. Playwriting explores not only the dramatic structure of plays, character development and the development of the author's stylistic voice, but also understanding the roles of the director, dramaturge, actor and other creative theatrical artists in the writing process. Students will continue to hone the skills introduced in the introductory playwriting course: plot, characterization; play structure, dialogue.
1-3 credits
