WebCT  (renamed: Blackboard  - CE). is a web delivered courseware so it is important that your computer and browser settings are compatible with the courseware. First you should test your browser settings by going to http://www.webct.com/tuneup.  You can also test your computer settings before you have your class account by logging into our WebCT Demo  Classroom at this URL: http://elvis.sccd.ctc.edu:8900.  

Select  “Log in to my WebCT”.  
The protocol for logging in to this WebCT Demo Classroom is:
ID= online
Password= learner you will be automatically linked to our Demo course. 

This will allow you to open threaded discussions (you will not be able to post any messages), take a sample quiz, access a calendar and most importantly it will confirm that your computer and browser settings will work when you login to your own classroom.  If you have technical problems opening or accessing this demo class please contact Distance Learning by email or at 206 527-3738.

It is important to note: your class account has a different protocol for logging in. 

The protocol for logging into your own WebCT account:
UserID = your first initial and entire last name. (one word, all lower case) 
Password = last six digits of your Student ID.
Please note: Student accounts will not be available until the first day of the quarter. Registering after the first day of the quarter your account may take 24 to 48 hours to be activated.
