MATH 084 D1P: Algebra I
Short Description: Includes
operations with signed numbers, linear equations and inequalities,
exponents, graphing linear functions, systems of equations, polynomials
and applications. Utilizes web-based instruction. This course
utilizes Academic Systems Algebra series which is 100% web based. Course
fee includes accompanying textbook. No other textbook will be required.

access to any courseware that is used in your class.
Please Note: Distance Learning courses
require active participation and students need to log into their classes
during the first week of the quarter to avoid getting behind.

Textbook:
Textbook will be supplied by your instructor at orientation meeting.
You must contact your instructor in person or by email before you
can receive the instructional materials.

Other Instructional Materials:
This course uses Academic Systems Algebra software: access to this
site will be included within your textbook.
Technical requirements:
Students who enroll in this course can access the course from any PC
running Internet Explorer 7.0 or above or Firefox 3.0 or above. The
program is MAC compatible, but Plato Technical Support services do
not support problems with the program running on the Macintosh
platform
For any courseware used requiring a login please contact
instructor at email address above.
For classes using an online component, we suggest that you download
the free version of
Internet Explorer or
Mozilla
Firefox and use one of these browsers whether or not AOL is your
Internet Service Provider. Otherwise, if you are using the AOL
browser, the built in shortcuts may cause problems with most North
Online course tools. If you have loaded a special software tool bar
such as the Google or Yahoo toolbar this may interfere with your
courseware and cause it to not work properly please go to our
tech support on
