Course Description
A survey of business practices, which covers business terminology, forms of business ownership, franchising, small and international businesses, leadership and management, marketing principles, financing and
investment methods, and business environment.

Course Objectives

  1. Define and explain the characteristics of the contemporary business environment.
  2. Identify and examine the elements and characteristics of organizing and managing a business.
  3. Examine aspects of business functions such as human relations, motivation, and the management of human resources.
  4. Define marketing principles, and identify the various pricing objectives governing pricing strategies and tactics.
  5. Describe the methods and procedures used by business people to arrive at effective decisions.
  6. Explain the characteristics and functions of money, and identify the various types and uses of financial instruments.
