Short Description:
Topics include linear
and quadratic functions, conic sections, exponents and logarithms, and
right-triangle trigonometry. This
course utilizes web-based and computerized (CD-ROM) instruction using a PC
running Windows 2000 or up.
Course fee includes access to PLATO Learning software and
accompanying textbook. No other textbook will be required.

Technical Requirements: Students who enroll in this course
can access the course from any PC running Windows 2000 or
above, 8X CD rom, 250 MB free space on hard
drive drive
or from designated computer labs on campus. (Sorry, Mac platform is
not compatible at present
and PLATO
is
currently not compatible with the new Microsoft
Vista Operating System.)
Delivery Mode:
Primarily Online, CD ROM (Modes explained)
Campus Attendance Requirements: Strongly recommended on-campus
orientation meeting. Four proctored tests.
Optional Drop
in Lab meets in ED 2842A
Prerequisites: MATH 098 with a 2.0 or better and high school trigonometry
(students can pursue high school trigonometry in a one-credit workshop).
