MATH 098: Intermediate Algebra

Short Description: Sets and the real number system, polynomial and rational expressions, exponents and radicals, first and second degree equations, linear systems of equations, graphs. This course utilizes Academic Systems Algebra series which is 100% web based. Course fee includes accompanying textbook. No other textbook will be required.
5 credits    

Technical Requirements: Students who enroll in this course can access the course from any PC running Windows 2000 or above or from designated computer labs on campus  / as well as MAC compatible. 
Delivery Mode:
Primarily Online (Modes explained)
Campus Attendance Requirements: Strongly recommended on-campus orientation meeting.  Four proctored tests. Optional Drop in Lab meets in ED 2842A (details below)
Prerequisites: At least one year of high school algebra or equivalent and placement exam, or MATH 097.
