GEOL& 101: Physical Geology (formerly GEL 101)


Short Description: This course covers the study of the Earth, the materials that make it up, and plate tectonics.   Special attention to the Pacific Northwest.  Course materials consist of textbook, lab manual and rock kit.  Video lessons and virtual field trips are videostreamed online.  These videos may also be viewed for free in the campus library or rented for the quarter.  Students will be required to take a proctored midterm and final exam.  Optional local field trips available.  All other instruction will be completed online. Fulfills the lab science requirement.
