Short Description: This class may have an early start or start different from other online classes: please check Registered Students page to confirm the start date for the course.This course develops a framework for research in the online environment and helps students to build skills and techniques for success as an online learner.  Through a quarter-long research project on a global issue, participants will examine various strategies for locating, evaluating, and applying information resources in the research process with attention to information issues like intellectual property, censorship and freedom of information.
