IT 111: The Internet and Web Authoring
Using XHTML

Short Description: This fully online course will provide students with a survey of basic Internet services and protocols including HTTP, FTP, E-mail, information searching, and security.  Students also get a comprehensive introduction to HTML (and XHTML) including text formatting, tables, frames, forms and Cascading Stylesheets with an emphasis on well formed valid code.  Setup and maintenance of web sites and file and directory structure will also be emphasized.  This section makes extensive use of the Web and email.  Reliable and regular Internet and email access is essential to your successful completion of this course.
