Short Description:
This Fall only class will introduce you to the STAR (Stop, Think, Act,
Review) Parenting approach to child guidance. You will learn:
- a four-step
process to deal with challenging behavior;
- to consider
children’s temperament and developmental,
- to use 15
tools from five areas of healthy effective child guidance — avoiding
problems, responding to cooperation, acknowledging feelings, setting
limits, and teaching new skills;
- and to recognize
and avoid common errors using the child guidance tools.
