Short Description: This fully online course is an introduction to perspectives on self in 20th Century Western culture.  Students will explore the definition, experience, and implications of Western concept of self.  The impact on socialization, personality development/scientific inquiry examined in light of nature of human consciousness/personal struggles to understand transient existence.
